High blood force, too called hypertension, is harmful because it makes the eye job harder to pump blood to the system and it contributes to hardening of the arteries or atherosclerosis and the growth of eye bankruptcy. Hypertension is an exceedingly popular health trouble, affecting about one in four adults in the U. S. There are two types of hypertension. Hypertension without a recognizable reason is categorized as vital or main hypertension. When hypertension has a particular reason, such as in cases of kidney disease, it is considered incidental hypertension. Several factors and conditions may beat a character in its growth.

Some factors including smoke ,being overweight, deficiency of physiological action, salt in the diet, overly more alcohol intake, strain, old age ,genetics ,household story of higher blood force ,chronic kidney disease and adrenal and thyroid disorders. Hypertension is considered to be present when an individual’s systolic blood force is consistently 140 mmHg or greater, and/or their diastolic blood force is consistently 90 mmHg or greater. Severe hypertension can induce symptoms such as worry , sleepiness, disarray and coma. Hypertension under this condition needs to be controlled, but prolonged hospitalization is not inevitably required.

Hypertension is typically treated by making changes in your lifestyle, and with drug therapy. Weight decrease and routine aerobic drill (e. g. jogging) are recommended as the best steps in treating balmy to conservative hypertension. Regular balmy drill improves blood flowing and helps to cut resting eye pace and blood force. Stress administration, biofeedback and meditation may assist you cut your blood force. Relaxation therapy, such as meditation, that reduces environmental strain, higher stable levels and over-illumination can be an extra method of ameliorating hypertension.

Avoid drunkenness overly more alcohol, which is associated with higher blood force. Eat a robust diet that includes oodles of fruits and vegetables. Don’t smoke. Smoking and higher blood force are leading danger factors for having an eye blast or shot subsequently in living. Acupuncture and acupressure have both been used really successfully to lower blood force readings. Garlic, onions, carrots, and celery are known to cut blood force. Garlic is the better known of the group, and garlic pills and capsules can be purchased at health nutrient stores that are just as efficient at reducing blood force as eating sweet garlic.

Hypertension is a growing problem in the United States today. Everyday, more and more people are being diagnosed with it.

Although there are several types of hypertension, all can lead to heart disease, heart attacks and even death, if left untreated.

Hypertension can be caused by several different factors. Family history is the biggest factor in who will develop this. Certain ethnic backgrounds tend to have more hypertension than others.

Studies indicate that it is because of the types of foods that are consumed. Foods that are high in fat, especially saturated fats, can cause hypertension. Using a lot of salt has also been associated with high blood pressure.

Lack of exercise and obesity are also causes of hypertension. Millions of people worldwide are either overweight or obese.

Other causes include high caffeine intake, such as coffee and soda, lack of exercise, smoking, and high cholesterol levels.

People who are diagnosed with hypertension are more likely to suffer from heart disease, heart attacks, strokes and kidney related problems.

Where there is cause for concern, it is not necessary to panic or stress over the diagnosis. There are ways to treat hypertension and still lead a normal life.

There are many different types of medications called Anti-hypertensives on the market today that can treat hypertension by lowering blood pressure to an acceptable level. Your doctor will advise you on what level is right for you.

Maintaining a proper blood pressure is critical because it affects the critical parts of your body. Heart, kidneys, the adrenal glands and brain function are all affected by blood pressure.

Your doctor will also advise you that lifestyle changes need to be made. The most difficult thing the doctor will tell you to do is to quit smoking.

Weight loss is the next step. Fitness centers and gyms offer a personal trainer that will assist you with your weight loss needs and set up a program that is tailored to your specific needs. Fitness centers also offer nutritional counseling. A nutritionist can put together menu options that you can stick to.

It is important to add a lot of fruits and vegetables to your diet. These will assist in lowering your blood pressure. Reducing your salt intake will also assist in lowering your blood pressure.

Hypertension can affect every aspect of your life. If you do not treat it, it can lead to serious, sometimes fatal, results.

Although this disease is affecting more and more people every year, it is a completely treatable. In fact, it is one of the most treatable diseases today. It is crucial to your health to make the necessary changes to lower your blood pressure. This will insure a long and happy life.

Disclaimer: If you need more information about hypertension, talk to your doctor or a qualified professional.

Hypertension in its simplest sense means ?high blood pressure’. Medical science calls this condition, ?arterial hypertension’, but hidden beneath the apparent simplicity of the term is the face of a silent killer. This silent killer can invariably trigger a heart attack, stroke, arterial aneurysm, eye damage, or a complete renal failure out of the blue, and no one will have any hint or clue that something was boiling inside for a worst outcome. Hence it is important that hypertension be diagnosed and treated at the earliest, before things get out of hand.

The important question is how to find out if a person is suffering from arterial hypertension. The biggest roadblock in diagnosing hypertension is the virtual absence of any solid symptom as it may normally be called a characteristic of high blood pressure. In other words, a person, even if suffering from hypertension, may not show any apparent symptoms. Every thing will look normal and the person may be as cheerful and healthy as a child. It is only when something happens that one might take note of the developments. In some cases unfortunately, things might have gone to the anvil by then.

Of course that does not mean that all types of hypertension are without any symptoms. Severe cases of hypertension may be accompanied with headache, sleeplessness, dizziness, and in a worse case, coma. In such instances, diagnosis will be a lot easier and quick, but again timely treatment is very crucial.

On the basis of the causes leading to hypertension, this medical condition can be classified into primary hypertension – or essential hypertension – and secondary hypertension. The causes for primary hypertension are mostly unknown. And to make matters even more complex, it is such cases that are reported the most. On the other hand, secondary hypertension will have some definite underlying causes, which in most cases may be a medical issue such as alcohol abuse, endocrine tumors, hormonal problems or kidney disorders. Again, if the exact causes are known, hypertension can be treated and contained easily, but it will be more of a gamble in the other cases.

Treatments for Hypertension

The treatments for hypertension mostly include a mix of medication and a disciplined lifestyle. Here it must be noted that none of this will work if taken independently. Someone with hypertension needs to follow the prescriptions punctually meanwhile adopting a health lifestyle marked by a controlled diet and regular workout/physical exercise.

Finally, one must also realize that an existing issue of hypertension could be aggravated by activities like smoking, drinking, and medicines containing steroids. Therefore, take care to avoid such things as well from one’s daily activities.

After all, remember the age old adage that health is wealth!

What is Hypertension?

Hypertension, also called high blood pressure, is caused by the pressure due to excessive pumping of the heart..It is one of the leading causes of death in the world today. In addition to being a deadly condition, hypertension can also cause damage to vital organs like the liver, brains, kidneys and the heart. Unfortunately, people suffering from hypertension may not even be aware of that condition till it becomes too serious a problem. Blood pressure measure always has two readings, one taken when the heart is beating and the other when the heart is at rest. The normal values for these two readings are 140 and 90 respectively.

Causes of Hypertension: There are two types of hypertension. One occurs due to the increase in the pressure of the heart while beating., mostly due to old age. This type of hypertension called essential hypertension or primary hypertension. This condition can be controlled with the proper precautions, and many people with essential hypertension may live for eighty years or more. The other called Malignant hypertension occurs due to the disorders of any of the vital organs, such as the brain, the liver and the kidneys. Hormonal imbalances can also cause hypertension in some cases. These are very fatal and need to remedied urgently. Malignant Hypertension is also called Secondary Hypertension

Hypertension Symptoms: Some of the common symptoms of hypertension are: ? Giddiness, Dizziness and a Feeling of Instability. ? Palpitations. ? Insomnia (inability to sleep well). ? Digestive problems and Constipation.

Treatment of Hypertension:

Hypertension, like any other physical disorder needs to be treated by a physician. Yet, hypertension, not being a disease but only a condition can be controlled through diet, exercise and adjustment of lifestyle. There are several claims about “cures” for hypertension through use of herbal medicines and other remedies. I do not like to go into the merits of these claims.

But there is a simple method which does not involve use of any drugs or remedies. This technique called Slow Breathing can bring down your blood pressure quickly and almost effortlessly. This method has medical recognition – FDA approved, easy to use and practicable by all. This method has been used and endorsed by such institutions of repute as the Harvard Medical School, The Mayo Clinic, Rush-Presbyterian Hospital and the American Heart Association. Studies published in the Journal of Human Hypertension and numerous other respected medical journals reveal that:

Breathing slowly and deeply (less than 10 breaths per minute) for 10 to 15 minutes a day while extending exhalation results in significant reductions in blood pressure. That’s because gentle, slow breathing acts like a natural safety valve to relax muscle tension, especially in the chest area, allowing constricted blood vessels to open and relieve pressure on the heart.

It literally takes a load off your chest!

As blood flows through arteries it pushes against the inside of the artery walls. The more pressure the blood exerts on the artery walls, the higher the blood pressure will be. The size of small arteries also affects the blood pressure. When the muscular walls of arteries are relaxed, or dilated, the pressure of the blood flowing through them is lower than when the artery walls narrow, or constrict.

Types of Hypertension:

Primary or essential hypertension means that the cause is undetermined or unknown and accounts for 90-95% of all cases of high blood pressure.

Secondary hypertension means that the high blood pressure results from an underlying, identifiable, often correctable cause such as kidney disease, adrenal disorders, thyroid disorders, coarctation of aorta, oral contraceptives, alcohol, or others.

Does Alcohol Consumption Cause High Blood Pressure?

Although the media has widely publicized the beneficial effects of alcohol on the heart, it must be remembered that this applies only to moderate alcohol intake. People who have more than two drinks per day are much more likely to have sustained elevations in blood pressure than nondrinkers. Alcohol may therefore be an unrecognized cause of hypertension in a large number of moderate to heavy drinkers.

Natural treatment also suggests certain herbal remedies such as Withania somnifera, Convolvulus pluricaulis, Passiflora, and Ginkgo biloba. Garlic is also recommended as a routine ingredient of diet since it has the power of being a blood thinner. However, be cautious when taking herbal supplements, only using according to the advice of a physician since herbal alkaloids may interfere the balance of the body functions.

Massage:

Massage may be particularly helpful for people with hypertension brought on by stress. One recent study revealed that people with hypertension who receive massages showed significant reductions in blood pressure. In addition, massage tends to help people stick with healthy behaviours such as healthy eating and non-smoking.

Vitamin C is also useful for many metabolic functions. It has also been found recently to help regulate blood pressure. While studies haven’t yet shown it effective at reducing diastolic pressure, it definitely can help reduce the systolic reading. Calcium and magnesium are two supplements that are helpful in reducing blood pressure. You should keep blood pressure information in the form of blood pressure readings to cure high blood pressure. A blood pressure monitor may be very helpful.

Physical treatment is helpful for hypertensive patients. Meditation is one of the methods that hypnosis the brain for thorough relaxation and peace of mind. This in turns helps lowering the blood pressure. Nevertheless, this treatment should be conducted under the guidance of experienced experts or specialists.

Hypertension is a medical condition where blood pressure is high, forcing strongly against the blood vessel walls. This would increase the workload of the heart – causing it to work harder than it should. Hypertension could cause the blood vessels to explode which is fatal or other problems to the coronary arteries, eyes, kidneys and brain which is equally damaging.

There are two types of hypertension – primary and secondary. Primary hypertension is closely related to the patient’s lifestyle while secondary hypertension is caused by other medical conditions – kidney and liver failure are known to be causes of secondary hypertension.

Symptoms or Signs of Hypertension

These symptoms are not mandatory in condition of hypertension, but if you suspect or find it unsettling, do take a blood pressure test at your local medical center.

1. Chest pains – A heavy crushing pain in the chest; in laymen’s term it feels like someone is standing on your chest.
2. Nosebleed
3. Urinal bleed – blood in urine.
4. Tiredness and regularly experience confusion
5. Changes or blurring of vision

Causes of Primary Hypertension and Prevention

Lack of physical activity: Most of the causes for primary hypertension are caused by the lifestyle factor. The lack of physical activity could, first of all, increase cholesterol levels. Rising cholesterol levels narrows the blood vessel, thus increasing the pressure of blood flow – hypertension. Prevention can then be done maintaining a minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity (jogging or walking) could reduce cholesterol induced hypertension. Taking precautions against diabetes could also help because diabetes are normally related to hypertension.

Tobacco products: It is uncertain whether it is the tobacco, or nicotine in tobacco products that are the exact cause of hypertension. But the facts are smokers are at higher risk of suffering from hypertension. This may be explained by the fact that nicotine increases blood pressure temporarily but there are arguments that nicotine patches do not increase blood pressure. No matter the case, anyone can prevent hypertension by staying away from tobacco products especially cigarettes and users – smokers.

Alcohol: The factual statistics shows that between 30% – 60% of alcoholics suffer from hypertension. Although there are no medically or scientifically proven tests that results in the conclusion that alcohol is a cause of hypertension, do use your common sense by judging the statistics and stay away from alcohols because it increases your risk of suffering hypertension.

Sodium: Excessive intake of salt or salty foods could lead to hypertension as sodium tends to increase the blood pressure. Notice that the term ‘tends to’ is applied. This is because only those who are sensitive or responsive to sodium would have their blood pressure react to excessive sodium intake. However, to play it safe, it is advisable to cut down on food intakes that contain high levels of salt such as salty snacks, pickled foods, processed foods, etc.

Stress: Blood pressure levels increase as stress increases. The only prevention for stress induced hypertension is to calm down and do not response to hectic circumstances. Take things less seriously or light, you health is far more important and therefore whatever that causes stress is just not worth your time or attention.
